Welcome to Mooredge in the Mist

The time has come.
Woodland Wild has become Mooredge in the Mist, and I welcome you to this new adventure…

My home and heart lies in Yorkshire and my work aims to evoke the folklore, landscape and heritage from which I draw endless inspiration. Mooredge in the Mist is my ode to the stories that this land has to tell. Whispers from old stones, bones, beck and beyond.

Mooredge in the Mist, this website, is now ready to emerge into the world. It contains a photography portfolio and soon to follow will be tales and tellings, folklore and nature notes. I will bring you inspiration for your own adventurings, in Yorkshire and beyond. There will be recommendations for books and artisans who share a similar vision, and perhaps even the odd glimpse beyond the veil into my life and creative processes.

There will shortly be a shop online where you can buy prints, cards and other handmade goods. And if you are local to Calderdale, keep a look out for me at shows and events in this area in the near future.

Forging this new path has been a labour of love and a reawakening of long slumbering interests and inspirations that are close to my heart. If you have been with me since the Woodland Wild days then welcome back. I’m deeply appreciative of your continued interest and support. And if you have recently found my work, then hello and lovely to meet you. Why don’t you introduce yourself below?

I dearly hope you enjoy this new offering as I invite you to tread the path with me and step into the mist.

  1. Hooray! What a lovely new website you have! I have a lovely pair of Woodland Wild wrist warmers that it is almost time to start wearing again, so I’m looking forward to the shop opening and having a look at your beautiful photography. Lots of luck with your new venture! Xx
