I’m pleased to announce I have a stall at the upcoming Arty Pants Festive Fair.
Taking place on Saturday 2nd December between 10 am and 5 pm. The Arty Pants Festive Fair is at Todmorden Masonic Hall, located right in the centre of town. The hall has easy access to the train station in addition to plenty of parking nearby.
The fair features an exciting selection of stalls selling beautiful and unusual handmade arts and crafts. There is live music throughout the day, not to mention mince pies, mulled wine and a bar. It promises to be a lively and lovely event. Celebrate the start of the Festive season with talented local artists and designer-makers. Perfect for picking up some Christmas presents, and an excellent antidote to the hellish high street shops!
I shall be selling a selection of prints, postcards and cards. Coupled with my knitted accessories which are making a welcome return, just in time for the cold weather. To say nothing of the surprises I have made for the occasion. In any event, do come say hello and browse for (hopefully) the perfect gift.
As Christmas and the business of gift buying become ever more commercial, impersonal big mainstream shops dominate. It is important to support small businesses and artisans who are offering unique and special alternatives. Virtually everyone I know, myself included, is far more thrilled with a thoughtfully chosen handmade gift than something bought last minute in a 3-for-2 offer at a big chainstore. Today is Indie Friday, a colourful alternative to Black Friday, presented by the Just A Card campaign. Take the pledge to shop small and shop indie this Christmas.
